Tropical Bar of Tijuana's La Coahuila has been a TJ favorite for 31 years. 

It has been called a classic Tijuana strip club over the years. My first visit to the Tropical Bar was in the fall of 2001. The club was really cool, the design was tropical in colors and style as suggested by it's name and there were plenty of hot babes to make friends with. However there was plenty of competition for patrons back then and that hasn't changed except for one thing: the Tropical Bar is owned and managed by the Hong Kong of Tijuana Group.

If you have been to the Hong Kong Gentleman's Club of Tijuana then you know how special that club is.   

The Tropical Bar has a new lounge called the Tiki Bar and is now becoming a really hot spot in La Coahuila - Tijuana's Red Light District. Additionally, the bar has had an elaborate renovation to it's interior, and the latest remodeling is going to make a visit to the Tropical Bar a completely new experience. 

It was about ten years ago that the club annexed the Scandal Bar which was next door which doubled it's size. The Hotel Rizo De Oro which was in effect the Tropical Bar Hotel also doubled in it's room capacity as it incorporated the hotel of Scandal. Now the Tropical Bar is undergoing a new renovation as the club has taken over the property next door. Two floors have been added to that space and will now become a special part of the Tropical Bar experience.  A sensational VIP lounge will wow patrons and all American Rock and Roll music will become the new venue's playlist.

The Tropical Gentleman's Club has more fantastic babes working there then ever and the staff is as professional as what the Hong Kong Club has. The price of a full contact lap dance is $20.00 and for a 30 minute intimate time with a babe is $100.00 plus $10.00 for the hotel room. There is no cover charge for the club and drinks are favorably priced with the cost a beer at 2 for $3.00.  The club offers free limousine rides to and from the border also.

Tijuana's Playboy Club is a real gem among the strip clubs and whore houses in Tijuana's Red Light District. The club is just around the corner from Adelita Bar, the iconic bordello which was recognized as the greatest whore house in North America from the early 60's for about 50 years.

It is no doubt that there is serious competition between the strip clubs located in La Coahuila - the area known as Zona Norte - the Zona Tolerencia where prostitution is legal.  About ten years ago the Playboy Club was a lounge like bar where there were always locals drinking and some really pretty babes that were working as prostitutes.  The sound system was epic and the DJ never veered from classic rock and roll, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, etc.

I had not been to the club since 2007 until about a month ago when I was to meet my neighbor who works there as a manager.  To be honest, I had seen a really beautiful babe standing in front of the club a few days earlier when I was walking my ex-racing greyhound in the late evening.  She was wearing a sheer white body suit that was almost see through. She was so sexy I could almost not believe my eyes.

As I had hoped the babe was there, again outside attracting attention and again wearing really sexy lingerie.  She was captivated with Winstin, my greyhound, fortunately she was anxious to take care of him when I went inside to find my friend. The bar had been completely remodeled and looked like a swanky strip club not as it had been - a bar with some strippers hanging out.  The sound system was still awesome and several hot babes were at the bar and on two stages.  I thought to myself, "Wow its a Monday night and this place is hopping".

I returned on the following Friday as I was quite curious about the club's cozy atmosphere, and the beautiful babe.  She was there as I had figured so I bought her a beer and gave her a few dollars for her trouble taking care of Winstin during my prior visit. She was most grateful for the tip, and I was over come by her beauty again, exclaiming in Spanish, "Eres tan hermosa como la música sensacional" -  You are so beautiful just like sensational music.  She smiled.

There were many very beautiful babes in the club and although it was busier than it was on Monday night it was not really crowded.  So, if you get uncomfortable in a bar whether it is a regular bar or a strip bar then this scenario would be ideal.  Beers are 2 for one, a total of $3.50.  A 25 minute full contact lap dance is $25.00 and for some greater privacy one hour is only $50.00.

The next time you visit Tijuana's Red Light District make sure you checkout the Play Boy Club.  It is located on Ave Constitution just off the corner on of Calle Coahuila.  The club is open from 10 am through 3 am and until 5 am on Friday and Saturday.   There is no cover charge so you have nothing to lose.

Comic-Con Super Hero Party At Adelita Bar Tijuana

If you are bringing your wife to Comic-Con you will still have a great time, just not a really great time if you would have been able to go to the Comic-Con Party at Adelita Bar. That is because the same rule about not bringing your wife to Las Vegas applies to Tijuana.

There is more than just the convention at Comic-Con to be exited about.  There is a four day party that you don't want to miss at Adelta Bar in Tijuana.  If you did not head south of the border last year surely heard about the wild times Tijuana's Red Light District had to offer and you kicked yourself in the behind for not going to TJ.

The 2018 San Diego Comic-Con Convention is this week from July 19th - 22nd.  What that means for San Diego and for Tijuana is a huge influx of tourism revenue major partying.  There is not much more of a cooler demographic than the comic book and animated film buffs.  If you have been to the San Diego Comic-Con or any of the other Comic-Con Convention venues then you know what I mean.  It is party till you drop mentality and San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter is host to a collection of bars and restaurants that is phenomenal.

During SDCC, the Gaslamp Quarter becomes a superhero's mecca with super fun experiences to be had both in the convention center and as well along the streets, in the Seaport Village adjacent to the center which is along San Diego's Embarcadero Marina - the bay front park area.  The bars and restaurants are jam packed with Comic-Con revelers all day and into the wee hours of the night.

Every lot including part of the PetCo Baseball Stadium has affiliated interactive exhibits and related expositions that are Comic-Con themed. There are concerts and other entertainment arenas, parades, and fashion shows all not part of the convention in that they are not inside the convention hall as attractions.

The comic-con craze is not limited to San Diego's Gaslamp with the fact that 17 miles to south and across the International border Tijuana becomes part of the Comic-Con fever. There are not enough hotel rooms in San Diego so accommodate everyone therefor the five star hotel in Tijuana and the lesser than five star hotel become the resting places at the end of the long convention days and nights.  

However the hotels in Tijuana are not alone when considering the tourism revenue benefits associated with Comic-Con and is not only the revenue that becomes a most welcome offshoot.  Tijuana is a cosmopolitan city, the third largest in Mexico and the 48th largest city in the world.  There are absolutely sensational restaurants with a very great value, especially now as the dollar is double from a year ago.  Tijuana is famous for its wild party bars and its red light district is consider number two of the worlds top ten.

So when considering Comic-Con attracts the coolest guys in the world that party harder than anyone and the reputation of Tijuana's s strip clubs and bordellos is no secret the bars and gentleman's clubs are on many of the Comic-Con visitors.  Every bar and club in La Choahuila, the Red Light Zone of Tijuana will have special parties and surely many of the ladies and staff of the bars will be in Comic Book Themed costume.  The two biggest clubs in La Coahuila, Adelta Bar and the Hong Kong Gentleman's Club are surely at their peak for the entire four days.

So you don't speak Spanish and that is keeping you from visiting Tijuana's Red Light District.  I would bet a beer that you understood the title of this post. So maybe you can visit Tijuana and make friends south of the border and have a great time.

Not speaking Spanish while visiting Tijuana will certainly cause some frustration however this is not such a big handicap that it will prevent you from having a great time.  Many Mexicans in Tijuana speak English, especially the staff of the clubs and bars.  Many of the babes speak English and the babes that do not speak English well have a great understanding of the cordial conversation that you will likely have when flirting.
