Cafe Tijuana - A Very Stylish Restaurant

It is not just another Mexican restaurant, something you'll notice right away. 

In May of 2018 a posh restaurant made it's debut in Zona Norte - Tijuana's Red Light District.  The location for this restaurant on the Callejon Coahuila, where the action has its focus on the a side street that runs adjacent to Calle Coahuila, the street where the Hong Kong Gentleman's Club and the Adelita Bar are located.  

This place has a look very similar to an upscale restaurant - bar in Manhattan's Upper East Side of New York City. The designer feeling is first class and rather swanky however the cost of dinning in Cafe Tijuana is not pricey.  The price of the traditional Mexican dishes are similar to what many of the not so fashionable restaurants charge in the area. 

It's location across the street from the Callejon entrance to the Hong Kong Club makes it a quick and simple solution for taking an intermission from partying at HK or the many clubs that line the busy street. Located along the Callejon are where many night clubs, and strip bars are located and where most of the Paraditas - street girls are situated so you can imagine the activity that becomes quite fascinating.

The inside of the restaurant - bar is decorated with classic photographs that illustrate Tijuana's "golden era" from a century ago when it was the number one choice to getaway for drinking, gambling, and appreciating the beautiful women. From 1915 through 1935 Tijuana was frequented by Hollywood's leading men, the American elite and the Mafia. 

Prohibition Laws from 1918 through 1933 was cause for the elaborate and grand Agua Caliente Resort, Casino and Race Track to flourish.  If you wanted to have a drink and escape the affects of the Great Depression an adventure to Tijuana was the solution. Hong Kong of Tijuana's 28th Anniversary Bash

The Hong Kong Gentleman's Club of Tijuana's Zona Norte Red Light District is throwing a big party on July 18th celebrating their 28th anniversary.  HK of TJ has transformed the red light district of Tijuana into a sophisticated classy venue that has Tijuana regaining it's acclaimed prestige from the golden years nearly a century ago when Tijuana was 2nd only to Monte Carlo as a destination favored by Hollywood's leading men, the American Elite, and the Mafia.  The club is considered one of the classiest and sensational night clubs in the world by StripLV and other industry professionals.  The success and overwhelming popularity of the Hong Kong Club has afforded La Coahuila as recognized among the top ten red light districts in the world.

In 2001 I discovered the Hong Kong Club which was a small humble bar located in the Callejon (the alley) that is adjacent to Calle Coahuila - the main street of Tijuana's Tolerencia Zone where prostitution is legal. After I had the usual good time in Adelita Bar and Chicago I would venture into Hong Kong for a different experience as it was more or less a secret spot mostly visited by locals.

For me, this was the way to really experience the culture and action in Zona Norte.  Almost without fail, I would be the only gringo in the club which was fine with me. It was not like Adelta Bar or Chicago was a tourist trap or that they were not a seriously awesome clubs with hundreds of beautiful babes.  Hong Kong was a very intimate and satisfying bar to get a last drink for the road.  One more fact worth mentioning - the bar pushed the limits by having live lesbian sex on the bar and on the small runway-like stage.

Around 2005 I was informed by Francisco, one of the doormen who I had befriended, that the owners were going to turn the club into the greatest men's club imaginable.  He was not kidding.  First, the bar expanded by accessing the floors above the club with a second floor and then a third which became VIP areas and a bar with some privacy compared to the main bars of the club and a special stage for the lesbian shows.  Special VIP lounges became part of the upper floors with a new lounge called Miami.

The bar was completely renovated with amenities which rivaled the likes of clubs in Las Vegas's Strip Bars or what was accustom to New York City bars and lounges.  The bar took over the neighboring club Miami and as well took over the bar that was behind it which was on Calle Coahuila creating a street through real estate dominance that made the club an extravaganza of ambiance.

The sound system and the lighting was ramped up rivaling that of the greatest clubs in the world.  Add to that, the staff would become so professional and voluminous that to say that the service was first class would be an understatement.  To top it off the bar showcased the most breathtakingly beautiful women imaginable. In a short time Hong Kong became an elegant club that catered to every possible whim that their customers could imagine.

If you have never been to the Hong Kong Club of Tijuana then this illustration is potentially one that could be perceived as overbroad and an exaggeration.  If you have been to the Hong Kong Gentleman's Club of Tijuana then there will be no contest to the words written here. It is not a strip club, it is much much more than that. In fact, I would venture to say that words cannot describe how sensational the club really is.

The Titty Bar Tease Or Not

Are strip clubs a big tease?  Is stripping an art form and is it a question of virtue? 

More over, considering the fascination involved, does frequenting the clubs raise a moral question for the men who cannot stay away?

The titty bar phenomenon

Entertainment has many different forms and explanations and can be subject to a view of moral question, especially when sex and nudity is in question. The strip clubs or titty bars of the world especially in the USA could be considered a slight of hand trap for men to fall into.  Just by analyzing the term "strip tease" and the actual benefit of visiting a strip bar is apparently a paradox. Basically, the experience is more or less a tease. Not that going to a strip club is un-worthy any claim of being a fun experience, it does have its rightful place in the unique men's entertainment category.  Although, the attraction of nude lady bars has pros and cons.

Strip club popularity

According to Glamour Magazine there are eight reasons that men hate strip clubs. You may be surprised at what this report suggests.  One of their 8 reasons reasons is the expensive nature that is involved. Not all of society appreciates the appeal of strip bars nor the men that frequently visit a sexy girl club so gaining a reputation that is less than stellar is an attribute you may not want, so advertising your fancying strip bars may not be wise. None-the-less, the business of sex is wide spread and has been an accepted fashion of society for as long as the history of civilization. 

Curiously, being offended by the display of nudity in what is termed being an exhibitionist and the lust and the attraction of sex is strange. The inability of realizing that sex is a very important part of the human experience is obscure as it is sex that perpetuates the species. Strippers are a harmless equation is society compared to most politicians and certainly the people in banking and financial institutions.  The art of stripping and its means of providing the financial benefits to what could be described as the diminished half of society cannot be overlooked and surely it is no less than an artistic expression and a celebrated art form. Paul Raymond, who became the wealthiest man in the UK in 2007 by transforming London's Soho strip clubs into a sophisticated and glamorous enterprise expressed it quite articulately, "Everyone likes to look at beautiful woman and more over they like to look a beautiful woman naked".  Click the YouTube link below to view the trailer for the film "The Look of Love", based on the true events that comprise his life's story.

Regarding whether or not the strip club is a tease or not, that is up to personal taste and expectations.  Comparing strip clubs in the USA and strip clubs in Tijuana there is no comparison.  In Tijuana's Red Light District the ladies are absolutely beautiful and the expense is ridiculously low, about 10% of what it cost to visit a Las Vegas strip club.  The lap dances are full contact and the ladies are friendly and very anxious to become intimate. Stripping is no tease in Tijuana.
